Dinosaurs Theme Cupcakes

Lucas's mum orderd 50 pcs of chocolate cupcakes for Lucas to celebrate his 5th birthday at his kindy. The theme chosen was dinosaurs since he is into dinosaurs and dragons. Initialy, I was quite blank with the theme, it is always not easy to do a boy's theme as compared to a girl's theme...hehe.. Nevertheless, with the help of some useful tutorials and photos from the net, I tried my best to come out with these. At least, I've done some research and only got to know that dinosaurs have many names/species. I've learnt something new after doing these fondant dinosaurs toppers.. :) It may not be a 100% similar anyway it's meant to be cartoon like. Here goes some of the scientific names of dinosaurs that I've hand moulded .......

Stegosaurus Armatus..

Pteranodon or Pterodactylus....

Tyrannosaurus Rex or better known as the 'T-Rex'!......

Triceratops...

Diplodacus or Camarasaurus... in water.

Another Pterodactyls......

Dinosaur's footprints..

Bones and stones..

Lucas's mum informed me that Lucas and his friends loved the cuppies..I'm so glad.. :) Thanks Jo for the order and Happy 5th Birthday to Lucas!

Red And White Engagement Cake

Hi, I'm back with my baking but not in full force. This is my first engagement cake made for my brother-in-law which was held recently. The cake had traveled all the way to Kudat safe and sound. The couple wanted a red and white as their theme colour and the cake flavour was a tri-marble cake- pandan chocolate vanilla butter cake.

The couple figurines were handmade with sugarpaste/fondant.

Happy Engagement to Barry and Flina..
