I still remember somewhere in year 1991 when I was in secondary school, my little nieces (and I) started with this craze of collecting all Hello Kitty related merchandises...haha.. This little cat was very famous amongst the school children, high school girls and also some young adults.
Apparently, in the very beginning somewhere in year 1974, Hello Kitty, did not have a name. It was first seen as a kitty with a little red bow on its left ear, sitting down. However, Hello Kitty instantly attracted respect and love of thousands of people in Japan with its cute design and character, which turned Hello Kitty into an instant celebrity. Today, it is still popular among young mothers who have been loyal fans of Hello Kitty since her debut.
Javy's mum specially requested for a Hello Kitty (HK) theme fondant cake with HK face on top of the cake. I guess, Javy who turns 2 is a fan of HK ( and maybe even her mum is :)) She also requested 12 pcs of cupcakes with alphabets and numbers as toppers. I was happy and really got excited when I received this order. Guess there's still this young girly heart in me.. heheh..
The main cake is a pure butter milk cake and vanilla cupcakes covered and decorated with marshmallow fondant.
One Hello Kitty..
Two baby footprints....
Three flower blossoms.., Four bright moons (although there's only one moon in the universe..)
Five shinning stars..... and ...Six lovely hearts..
Happy birthday to Javy and thanks to mummy Cavy for the order.. Really glad to know it was well liked. Thank you!
This cake looks stunning. May I ask what cake is this? I had tried to add fondant on my cupcakes before but it seems that the fondant cannot dries up even after few hours. Wonder why?
ReplyDeleteHi Ann, the cake is pure butter cake and cupcake is vanilla..oopss forgot to mention it in the post. Fondant dry faster if u blow under direct fan or best in an aircond room.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your tips ;)
