Tom And Jerry Birthday Cake

Time passes so fast, Javy has now turned 4 years old. I made Javy's Hello Kitty birthday cake 2 years ago and this year, she wanted a Tom & Jerry theme. Javy's mum has an idea of how she would want Javy's cake to be like.

Cavy requested to have a pink cake with Tom & Jerry 2D design like in this pic and to have colourful deco something like in this pic, but to omit the round marble/beads at the bottom cake border. She also requested to have the Happy Birthday wordings stick onto the side of the cake as well as some bursting stars which I have provided separately for her to insert onto the cake. So that is how this design came about..:)

Princess Castle Cake

Kimberely celebrated her 4th birthday with this grand castle cake at her kindy. Her mummy informed me that Kimberely had always wanted a castle cake and was very happy with her surprised cake.

Tinkerbell Cupcakes

These were my last cupcake order for the year 2010. It's for a 7 year old girl name Noelle who loves Tinkerbell. Cupcake flavours were, vanilla buttermilk with blueberry pie filling and another half with chocolate chips.

Decorated with edible icing image, fondant flowers and sprinkles.

Happy 7th Birthday to Noelle..

I really love this theme song for Barney and friends. A famous children TV show produced in the U.S. aimed at very young children ages 1-4. This show conveys learning through songs and small dance routines with a friendly, optimistic attitude.

The title character Barney - A purple T-Rex dinosaur in stuffed animal likeness.

Baby Bop - A green Triceratop dinosaur. She wears a ribbon on her head.

B.J. - A yellow Protoceratop dinosaur. He wears a red baseball cap and a pair of red sneakers.

Party with Barney and friends commissioned by Carol for her cute little girl Ethel Cade who turns one. It was a chocolate moist cake filled with chocolate ganache, covered with milk buttercream and decorated with fondant figurines. All figurines were handmade and edible except for the number 1 candle.  The sides of the cake were piped to resemble a basket weave design.

Along with the cake, was a set of 25 cupcakes with the same theme. They were vanilla buttermilk cupcakes filled with strawberry pie filling and covered with strawberry flavoured buttercream.

All cupcake toppers were made of fondant/sugarpaste.

I like it when I am given ample time and notice for an order. This order was placed way back in May.. almost 2 months before the date of delivery. This way, I have more time in doing the planning and some research on how to execute this project. Yes, I call it a project.. heheh..

All ready for collection. Happy 1st Birthday to little angel Ethel Cade. Thanks Caroline for the order and your great feedback made my day :).

Hello Kitty Cake and Alphanumeric Cupcakes

I still remember somewhere in year 1991 when I was in secondary school, my little nieces (and I) started with this craze of collecting all Hello Kitty related merchandises...haha.. This little cat was very famous amongst the school children, high school girls and also some young adults.

Apparently, in the very beginning somewhere in year 1974, Hello Kitty, did not have a name. It was first seen as a kitty with a little red bow on its left ear, sitting down. However, Hello Kitty instantly attracted respect and love of thousands of people in Japan with its cute design and character, which turned Hello Kitty into an instant celebrity. Today, it is still popular among young mothers who have been loyal fans of Hello Kitty since her debut.

Javy's mum specially requested for a Hello Kitty (HK) theme fondant cake with  HK face on top of the cake. I guess, Javy who turns 2 is a fan of HK ( and maybe even her mum is :)) She also requested 12 pcs of cupcakes with alphabets and numbers as toppers. I was happy and really got excited when I received this order. Guess there's still this young girly heart in me.. heheh..

The main cake is a pure butter milk cake and vanilla cupcakes covered and decorated with marshmallow fondant.
